If only the Orioles had the number one prospect in baseball who could fill one of the offensive holes in the infield. I had a feeling trading Mancini and Lopez would catch up to the Orioles and we're seeing it. 

This isn't to say I disagree with the trades. Elias is looking towards 2023 and beyond instead of trying to make the wildcard. Probably better long term, but it's rough to watch right now.

Why do we assume he comes up and rakes? I want him up but you can’t ask a kid to be the savior out of the gate.

He may not, but when you watch him in AAA, he's a big league hitter playing in AAA.

He doesn't need to come up and rake. It's really hard to imagine him not being an upgrade over Odor, Urias, Nevin, Vavra, Stowers, or any of the other nearly automatic outs in the lineup right now. And if it takes him a few weeks to adjust to major league pitching so what? At least he can take his lumps now and be a step ahead for Opening Day next year.
