I was expecting Mountcastle to strikeout on a low and away slider instead of a ball above the strike zone that last at bat.

Right now Mountcastle is swinging through pitches in the middle of the plate. He's just not seeing the ball.

So I see we are carbon copying last nights game. Different though I doubt Kremer can hold them down like Bradish. This offense is just not good right now

The offense is going to keep being an issue with Mountcastle and Hays batting in the middle of the order. Unless they return to their earlier in the season production.

I think we shd take the 2014 Royals approach. Stop expecting Hays and RMC to find their power again, lower them in the lineup, and build the offense around Mullins, Mateo, Adley, Santander, Urias, Vavra, McKenna. Small ball, walks, stolen bases with power from AR and Santander. Let the extra homers come from further down in the lineup (Stowers, RMC, Hays, Odor).

Why is Mountcastle cleaning up against a right handed breaking ball pitcher?

Urquidy has very significant reverse split stats, both this season and throughout career. That's why McKenna is in the lineup, not Stowers.
