Dean Kremer 2023

It's one of those games where I want one of two things to happen:

1. Kremer pitches a gem, we win, fantastic.

2. Kremer gets absolutely destroyed in embarrassing fashion, prompting a roster move. 

Let's not have one of these 5 IP, 4 ER deals where we lose and Kremer didn't move the needle one way or the other. Ain't nobody got time for that. Either get it together, or let's get the roster move over with.

Interesting tidbit- Both starting pitchers tonight are Jewish.  I wonder when the last time there was an MLB game where both starters were Jewish?  I wonder if that's ever happened before?

Brown said first time since ‘74 or ‘75? I can’t remember because half the time I try to time him out.

Nice start by Kremer.  Crossed fingers he gains some confidence from this and settles down into something like last season.

Only three strikeouts in 6 innings but he did come up huge last night. Kept the ball in the park which is not an easy task against that Braves lineup.

Nice job from Dean, who I was sure would get lit up. Shows what I know!

Dean is a mercurial guy. His demeanor on the mound can be so different start to start. Hyde said he liked his body language and presence in this one.

Awesome outcome! Hopefully this will help his confidence because he was a huge contributor last season.

Kremer has some good traits. This isn’t a Tyler Wilson/Mike Wright situation. Kremer just needs to execute. It looks like the adjustment is less 4 seamers and more cutters.
