He needs to stop trying to throw “wow” session bullpens with 5-6 pitches and establish the fastball first.

Down 4-0 with a couple strikeouts off 5 pitches is real sexy.

Now he's just on mostly cutters. Seems to be the best pitch at hitting the strike zone.

Maybe Elias was right in not investing much in trying to improve this team. It's hard to lift off, or compete or whatever, when you have from 0 to 2 reliable starting pitchers and don't have strong SP candidates to promote, leaving you to wait for the existing rotation to improve. 

That lapse in covering first made it look like GRod, like some of his teammates early this season, is new to the game of baseball.

We're all frustrated and for good reason. Why can't we have a young stud come up and throw well right away? Whatever happened with that oblique injury changed him. I wonder if there was more to that that just an oblique?

He's just never been the same guy and it's frustrating.

If we want a long term staple of the pitching rotation, there will be early growing pains. Even the best  pitchers in baseball history had some growing pains.
