I think Cowser has flaws, but I don't think you can claim his April was just unsustainable luck while his May/June were exactly reflected by the OPS. You have to include the whole sample, which right now is a .768 OPS. Given the hard-hit rates and exit velocities I think he mostly needed a tweak, and to figure out what to do with changeups. -

I went to a few games there in the early 90’s. I drove by there a couple of months ago for the first time in years and was blown away. From the road beyond the old outfield wall it looks just like a ballpark. Really cool! -

I get the Flaherty comp but this team with no deals in is in the postseason. You are correct in that we don’t need to win deals but if making sexy moves guaranteed success the Padres would have multiple titles. I think the basic issue for the Orioles is whether there are players that are worth the big 3-4 prospects? A portion of people will equate Elias’ effort based on this.
