Hitters sure do seem to have a hard time hitting the batting practice pitcher then.

In his last 18.1 innings over 13 games, Voth has pitched to a 1.96 ERA with 18 Ks and 6 BBs. Batters have slashed .185/.280/.215/.495 off him over this span.

Wouldn't it just have been better to let Voth start the game? What was the purpose of a 1 inning appearance to begin the game by Akin? 

At some point, it may be helpful to start making some decisions using common sense.

Even with Hays out I think having McKenna in left instead of Center is a bit of a head scratcher.
