That’s the kind of shutdown inning I used to see in AA.  He got a gift with that checked swing call but maybe he’s earning those calls.  Love it.

Dane Dunning turning back into a pumpkin.   Nice story how he pitched so well replacing deGrom for a while, but like Aaron Hicks, I don't think he was going to keep it up.  Rangers rotation is good but it wouldn't surprise me to see them going after a starter.

Just once.  He had a 8-1 lead against KC on May 4th.

 

Additional info: In Starters with at least 10 starts, he is 16th in run support at 5.82.

I'm sure if the Orioles had to appeal, they would have gotten it. He definitely swung.

Was thinking of that comp earlier too. Siri does just enough so that he can afford to look for his pitch. Usually pitchers don't feel any pressure to give in to Mateo the way McLanahan did there.
