Kremer went away from the cutter, which was not working at all, and recovered nicely.

Amazing how times change. Not too long ago, everyone was upset that the Orioles wouldn't let their guys throw cutters. Now the cutter is basically out of style and the pitch that gets everyone in trouble.

I'm all for broadcasts taking risks and giving us more than the usual sights/sounds, but the on-field mic thing doesn't do it. The players aren't interacting and the conversation is way more stilted than it would be if the player was in the dugout.

When they come up with technology for what a player is thinking, then sign me up. Will be more amusing than what comes out of their mouths.

But it's crazy having players take their minds off the games in those in-game interviews. It's not a time to be multi-tasking. The game is hard enough as it is.

You can thank Joe Buck for that. He made the comment years ago basically saying baseball is boring and they should mic the players up like in nascar

Sure, baseball should be more like Nascar. You know what would be really cool? Have the outfielders drive around in little cars. Put pit crews in the dugouts. Have the players wear jumpsuits that are full of ads. Have the umpires use signal flags.

Joe Buck is an idiot. He's advanced as a baseball announcer for one reason -- two words, and the first one is Jack.
