Sure, it’s B/R, but just seeing a list like this so far into the season is pretty amazing.

The Orioles have an MLB-best 20-7 record and plus-60 run differential since July 5, and with two more series wins last week they sit No. 1 in these rankings for the first time in years.

The Braves went 3 - 3 last week while the O's went 6 - 1.

All season B/R has consistently been willing to put hot teams over cold teams that have a slightly better (+/- 2 to 3 games) record.

Sucks for Jung and the Rangers. I'd prefer Gunnar beat him over 162, and much prefer the O's beat them when it matters in October!

Since this list is "at a glance" and updated weekly, I'll buy us being ranked #1.

Overall, though, I think we are a Top 5 team. If the playoffs started tomorrow, the teams against whom I wouldn't favor us in a best-of-seven series are the Rangers, Astros, Braves and Dodgers.

Very much looking forward to the Houston series.
