The other teams who had been rumored in on Cease early in the offseason were the Braves, Reds and Dodgers. With all of those teams making SP moves, that certainly helps the Orioles’ chances. Cease’s salary is cheap enough that none of those teams are guaranteed out on him, but it’s a good development for the Orioles.

Yeah, if you think the Orioles can actually make a trade like that. Watch out for a sleeper team like the Giants.

The Suarez deal happened over 3 months ago.  He was assigned to the FCL roster on September 15 (note this was a temporary roster maneuvering rather than an indication that he will play at that level).

Actually 6 of the 7 names with the exception of Perez are not new.  Banuelos was announced a few days ago, but was officially added to roster today along with Perez.
