Adam should think about endorsing CC Sabathia.

Sabathia is about 5 rWAR behind Kevin Brown.     Brown is Top 5 in WAR outside Cooperstown with Rick Reuschel, Jim McCormick and the scenarios with Schilling and Clemens.

Jim McCormick was a fun discover.    I'll endorse 1880 Blues as something you should put in the B-Ref search bar if you want to see some handlebar moustaches to make Dylan Cease giggle like a kid.   

McCormick started 74 games and completed them all.    No need to worry about hooks, he was the manager.    Orator Shafer and Jack Glasscock were top performers.    It was Ned Hanlon's rookie year.     James Garfield got the other thing.

Baines was around forever and amassed close to 3000 hits, that’s the only reason he’s in.

If Baines had gotten all the way to 3000, I think folks would be more confident about his HOF case. 

Though looking at the list, everyone with more hits than Baines is in the HOF, except for those not yet eligible (Pujols, Ichiro, Cabrera), the steroid guys (Bonds, Palmeiro, ARod), and a couple guys with disqualifying character issues (Rose, Vizquel). 

Anyone have a guess the most hits all-time to be kept out of the hall, despite a clean (enough) personal record? He retired in the 21st century and had more hits against the O's than any other team.

Adam Jones was/is one of my favorite Orioles.  His 32.6 rWAR is not even half of Bobby Grich's 71 rWAR.  I might be swayed emotionally but mathematically, it's a no.

Jones is not a Hall of Famer. But he was a media darling and so you never know. The 'Hall of very good' could take #10. Sadly it's a joke now though.
