For the MASN graphic you can knock a few others out applying an Active Roster and 115 innings filter, then the Orioles rank 1-6-10-11.

Didn't have his best stuff yesterday but still delivered 5 shutout innings and struck out 6 on 92 pitches.

The Orioles have the 3rd best fWAR from SP in the MLB this year, behind only the Phillies and Royals. Can’t even guess the last time the Orioles finished with a top 5 rotation. Even the good mid 2010s teams had middle of the pack SP.

No doubt.  Winning probably helps but this team seems full of good people.

if you’re using fWAR as the measure, then I agree.  The 2014 staff had an aberrationally good ERA, but I doubt fWAR was impressed.

Nice job by Irvin to go 6.1 innings on a day when the O’s definitely needed some length from their starter.  Unfortunately the bullpen blew it anyway.

Another start of good ERA work - Past 1 Calendar Year ERA at 100 innings minimum is kind to Orioles these days.

This morning Orioles hold 3, 13, 16 and 17 placements there.

I think we'll see newly qualified #1 Reynaldo Lopez next series.      Him and Jordan Hicks being 110-ish IP guys on the rolling year basis are good outcomes for the tinkerers with elite arms.     

Wheeler, Burnes and Lugo are the only 180 IP attainers in the Top 20.

Big opportunity today to put an exclamation point on a half season of wonderful pitching.

Past 1 Calendar Years, Orioles are 2/4/10/19 in ERA at 100 innings minimum, though Bradish's days are numbered on that qualification.

Interesting texture as in spring he seemed to have done some of the Driveline stuff over the winter and dazzled the pitch meters in a small sample size, but it wasn't sustainable and now the story goes like he's being who he is.

Cole Irvin is suddenly one of the team's most important pitchers. From the 6th or 7th start to the #3 guy in just a few months...of course, our 9th starting option is now our #5 starter, but at this rate (baring more injuries) Irvin looks destined to be one of our postseason starters (even if we add a guy--which we obviously should).
