Orioles attendance 2024

That barely beats the lowest crowd of last year, 9,322 on a Monday night vs. Oakland.   Of course, that was on a sunny day where the game time temperature was 64 degrees.

I guess with flex plans and very liberal exchange policies, it’s not that easy to draw conclusions about how attendance will be this year from looking at the poorly attended games in early April.  Let’s just say that there are no overt signs of a big attendance bump yet.

I know the Orioles said they had a 70% increase in season ticket sales  but most were 13 game plans  So let's say an extra 6,000  season ticket packages were sold but it would not be a bump of 6,000 tickets per game. Plus you have the flex plans to any game. I know some of the popular giveaways and the Yankee weekend series have sold out most of the lower bowl. Still think a nice increase of around 200,000 to 300,000. Depending on weather and team play.

Orioles right now are fifth worst in home attendance, which means nothing .Some teams have played no home games yet. We are ahead of CWS,A's,Rays and Marlins. All teams that draw well at home.

Does this account for early season game averages from 2023?  If not, I wouldn't be shocked if attendance is up in general around the league at year end.

I suspect the weather had something to do with it also. It's been lousy nearly everywhere.

Holliday debut, plus good weather, plus exciting road trip, plus good record.

I'll be a bit alarmed if they don't average 35k fans for this weekend series.

Weather is windy today. Should be a nice crowd tonight. Walk up and college night and t-shirt giveaway and 35,000 is possible but a little ways to go. Saturday and Sunday look like mid or upper 20's unless the Jackson factor.

Looks like the left field corner will be open for all three games.

24,327 for the Saturday Brewer game. Looks about the same or maybe a little lower. 35,000 a game for the Brewer series is not happening

Second weekend of the year drew 67 k total last year.   So this will be 10-15 k higher.
