Yeah, definitely.

My memory of Nick is that his pet phrase was “you know,” inserted once or twice per sentence.  “Yeah, I was, you know, looking for a good pitch, you know, to hit there.”

Tiger Woods is both the GOAT and an underachiever. He should have 25+ majors and 100+ wins.

You can be really good and still fall short of what you should be.

Nick should have competed for batting titles.  His OBP should have been more 380+ OBP guy vs 350+.  He loved the game but didn’t seem to eat, breath and sleep it.  Nothing wrong with that. Just think had he had that attitude, he would have been even better.

True desire for anything is something you are born with, or not.

Glenn has a better chance of getting in than Chris.

Roch doesn’t think so.

“Chris Davis and Matt Wieters should be the next inductees in the club’s HOF. They must have received serious consideration this year.”

Obviously the big Davis contract was a disaster, but he does hold the single-season Oriole record for homers and is 6th on their all-time homers list.  He finished 3rd in the MVP voting that one year.   So, it wouldn’t be egregious if he got in.   I don’t know that it will happen that quickly, however.  Wieters is a lot less controversial than Davis.

I don't know... Wieters was supposed to be a better version of Johnny Bench, but instead became the switch-hitting Gus Triandos. If we're going by @Sports Guy's shoulda rules I don't know if he gets in.

Jones isn't in it yet, right?

Jones should be in before either of those two.

Frankly, he probably should have been in before Markakis.

When the player retired is a factor.   It’s not purely an issue of merit.

I feel like if Davis got in there would a slight chance he’d get booed at the induction ceremony.

There’s a 100% chance some people would boo him.  Others would take the high road.  But it’s a reason why he may not be inducted that quickly.

There was a stretch where CD homered in 8 or 9 straight games I attended, including spring training and road games. No boos here!

Seems like you have to have been retired for 3 years, which Jones should qualify for.

Maybe they're holding off for a reason.
