Those are all valid points, but they don’t change the fact that he is terrible tonight, and his stats are not very promising.

True, but I'm guessing the pitching coaches see something in him they believe they can help him with to improve his delivery or mechanics, what have you.  They need some time, however.

One of the 3 between JH, SB and CM plus Stowers and Norby for one of the big 3 elite pitchers who were available.

And if I needed to throw in Heston and sign AS for next year?  I would have.

You think Crochet was elite? He is on an innings limit and refused to pitch in the postseason without an extension. Snell? The only way he wouldn't have opted out in the offseason was if he sucked. Skubal? I'm not sure the Tigers were ever serious about trading him.

You would have decimated our farm system for 3 guys who weren't worth it.

Sure.

Then say that.

I don't like citing All-Star designation is if it's particularly meaningful.

But, I just said that? That's the first time I've referenced him as an all-star.

Pretty obvious Suarez isn’t going to cut it in the pen. Takes him 11 pitches to get one out.

This is how this works right?

He looks a little off tonight. I think he's either going to be a weapon in the pen or swap places with Rogers in the rotation.

SFG were never selling Snell. They are trying to get in the playoffs.

I’m being a smart ass. 😂

I like him in the pen.

I’m rooting for both but I see a #4 OF and a kid who doesn’t have a position.

In general I try to not worry about who was given up.

Not unless I think a trade is particularly meaningless.

For instance I complain about losing Heim because I didn't see the advantage of trading for Pearce.

But I've never worried about Erod because Miller was a great piece to add.

The O's needed more starting pitching so someone had to go.
