10 consecutive is still way short of 18 straight .. 

The Minnesota Twins have finally broken out of their postseason slump.

The team beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 in the wild-card round of the MLB playoffs Tuesday, their first postseason win since 2004. A lengthy drought between wins isn't unusual, but what makes the Twins' run particularly galling is that they lost 18 straight postseason games. That's three straight losses in the 2004 ALDS, four 3-0 sweeps and losses in the 2017 wild-card sudden-death game and the 2020 wild-card round

      Is Holliday the most important player in 2025?

      I think from an organizational standpoint, Holliday is pretty close to #1 in that they were really counting on him being an extremely valuable player.  In terms of the roster next year, he could be in AAA and the team would still be very good. But if he's a miss organizationally (he won't be, but just for argument's sake), then that's an enormous setback.

      Holliday is in the top 3 or 4 most important players next year.   IMO, it's Adley.  Gotta figure out who that dude is right now.  And if he's back to his old self, how to keep him healthy so he doesn't crater again. Hope that Holliday could turn out to be a Bobby Witt Jr. type.

      You pray Adley starts off next year hot as the sun.  Then you move him at the trade deadline.  Because this guy is not a winner.  He wont even beat out Wieters career numbers.  Adley is got the fabled "old man" skills.  And he isn't even an old man yet.  He wont age well.  GET RID OF HIM.  Get skinny athletic guys who actually can throw the ball to second base.   We don't need a hitting catcher.  Is a luxury and a fraud usually.   And he cant hit enough to warrant moving to first base.  That's a waste.  Best thing for us to do is sell him next year.

      I'm not sure I agree that there are a ton of concerns. I can count on one hand the amount of moves I disagreed with from this season. The team likes him. The clubhouse is tight. I don't really buy that there were clubhouse issues other than Hays wanting to play more, which of course he would want to. Haven't seen much evidence beyond that. Roch reported that the clubhouse is fine, even.  Hyde doesn't control the ABs, he held team meetings where he let them know the level of play was unacceptable, according to O'Hearn, who appreciated how he handled that. So... I dunno. I see no glaring issues really with him specifically. Yes, the organization needs a top-down assessment of their methods as it pertains to situational hitting and maybe player development, and Elias has to improve some things.

      This.  I think that if they come out sleep walking in 2025 and are lingering at +/- 1 or 2 games of .500 by the ASG...he gone.

      I’m not sure he’s #1..I think GRod has a big say in this, as does Adley…but Holliday is in the conversation.

      If the team was serious they would start by finding a new manager. Next year will be the same old BS (I said this in October 2023 and have been proven right, again).
