Agent: Delgado has hip surgery again - out 4 months

Per Ken Rosenthal:

"Delgado, 37, underwent hip surgery this week for the second time in nine months, according to his agent, David Sloane. He will be out four months, but still plans to play this season, Sloane said."

Good thing we didn't sign him, then? This adds to the reasoning of why the O's didn't feel that strongly about signing Delgado the last couple of months.

With this news in mind, do you feel that the O's made a good decision about Delgado?

Of course they made the right decision here. They weren't in the market to go out and get a DH. They wanted to see if Delgado could prove that he was healthy enough to play 1B in the winter league. Obviously he couldn't. Having him for the last half of the season doesn't make any sense.
