Disappointed???

They have put 17 runners on base tonight, so far. If they could do that every game, they'd lead the AL in scoring.

Sometimes the hits comes in the right places, sometimes not. But if you keep putting runners on the bases, the runs will come.

You need extra base hits, though. The Royals have one of the highest team averages in the league, yet they're in the bottom third of the league in runs scored. There isn't a perfect correlation because your chances of scoring are much lower when you go station to station rather than getting bases in bunches.

Why would that be shocking? He's only thrown 84 pitches and he struck out the last 2 guys to finish the 8th inning.

I guess I am still getting used to Buck. Just so used to the usual specialist coming out for the 9th. Seems to be the new normal.
