You have ten days to try to trade him, and then you have to put him on waivers and the waiver process begins. Although I think that you can put him on waivers before the 10 days if you have no hope of trading him???? Seems to me I've seen guy's DFA waiver process resolved in less than 10 days before. -

Shame Cedric just missed that ball. If we're up 1-0 do they just make the game a final or do they still play it tomorrow? Confusing rule at times. -

Last night he mentioned that Cardinal pitcher JoJo Romero went to Yavapai College (which apparently is in Prescott, Arizona) and he said "...so JoJo is a man from Prescott Arizona"... a slight but not really correct riff on the Beatles tune "Get Back" ("JoJo was a man who thought he was a loner, but he knew it couldn't last. JoJo left his home in Tucson Arizona, for some California grass"). I figured 90% of the audience didn't catch it, and of the 10% who did, 7% rolled their eyes, and 3% actually enjoyed it. I was in the 7%.

Bradish had excellent stuff tonight in his rain-shortened outing in St. Louis. 5 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K’s. He three 52 of 74 pitches for strikes. It’s a shame the rain kept him from pitching deeper into the game. There were a few annoying moments: an 0-2 HBP and an 0-2 count that ended in a walk. But overall, a very good outing.
