He was really good for about 4 starts. My concern with Britton is 1. his shoulder and 2. he's never been able to throw that sinker with a ML ball.

Schoop would be a terrible deal. One year of a guy who had a career year at 38 for a guy that should give us at least 12 WAR at a very reduced price.

The Mets are getting exactly what they want. Multiple teams trying to outbid each other almost guarantees that they'll get more than what Dickey's worth.

Yeah he not buying the Dickey fluke theory. The guy's very been good for a few years now.

With history showing that knuckleballers age well I'd be comfortable giving him a 3, probably even a 4 year extension.

I'd be willing to part with Arrieta, Schoop, and a low level prospect. Not sure what the Mets are looking for. I'm sure they will ask for Bundy but obviously that's not happening nor should it. I find it hard to give up too much considering they value him slightly above Joe Blanton type money. I'd be reluctant to give up Britton though. I'm still very high on him and think he will have a good season in 2013.

Edit: rather give up Delmonico but I think they would want one of Schoop or Britton at the least.

12 WAR? That's expecting a lot out of Schoop.

I think he'll be at least a 2 WAR a season player. He probably won't start out that high, but I can see him peaking at 3-4 some years.

His ERA over the last 600IP is less than 3. I don't think that's so flukey. He's a unique case given his path to the majors. I'd gladly take him and would gladly give him a 2 yr extension.

Well, Toronto becomes really good if they land Dickey. I'll take their rotation (with Dickey) over Baltimore... but if Arrieta and Britton bounce back, who knows...

Dickey broke out last year, but he has been a 3+ WAR pitcher each of the last three.
