You now have an eight-man bullpen that includes two starters (long men) - Irvin and Suarez. IMO, the latter have to be melded into more regular and longer use. Irwin hadn't pitched in eight days when he came in today. Suarz has also been seldom used. That puts a lot of work/pressure on the other six. I have doubts this will work long term. Webb today, was the canary in the coal mine. Structure is on Elias - use on Hyde. Will be interesting to watch with 118 games to go. -

It was a really nice throw by CC even if a little high. I have been critical of his accuracy but the runner is safe if CC's throw isn't to Mateo's chest/glove side. Mateo has been superb at 2b, I love Holliday but watching him learn to play 2b was frustrating-missed assignments etc.-it's tough to learn without being exposed at this level. -

I would be ok with him batting 9th. He can call himself 1st leadoff batter. -
That is my friend’ and her son. She texted me a picture of him with the sign before the game. I was out so did not get a chance to see it and she told me later he caught a foul ball.
