He had the count 1-2 had 3 pitches till the HR. How about he just put one in the dirt every now and then.

That does not answer my question. You wish it were a different sequence? That the location were different? That he did not guess that specifically? You wanted a guy whose pitch count is up too high to waste a pitch?

Ask Raul Ibanez, he won it on a bunt for them right? Yeah a bunt, that's right.

You're a funny guy you know. I know that 12 inning game came down to a HR what about the other 11 innings with no small ball.

But explain it. How is it a meatball. Because it was struck hard? Or because of it's velocity. Or because of it's location? Or because the batter guessed the sequence. I need to know exactly. So you may continue to use the word.

It wasn't anything near a meatball really. Amazingly, Thorne described it pretty well. It was a ball that "leaked" back over the plate. Or more to the point, he started it in but it had so much movement that it moved back towards the middle and give Ackley some credit. He shortened up and put a good swing on it.
