vs. BLUE JAYS, 4/22

OFFNY

I really don't get Buck's love affair with Cabrera. The guy can't go into the hole to save his life and his .547 OPs looks a lot like his .572 OPS last year. He doesn't walk, and whatever speed he had is gone.

Ah ok this makes more sense.

What would Buck do right now though? They only have two middle infielders on the roster right now.

I'm not going to lie, this team just doesn't look very good. What's it strength? It's starters have been inconsistent to bad, the relievers outside of Britton and O'Day don't scare anyone, and the offense goes in these ridiculous funks. Add in suddenly shaky defense, a catcher who suddenly can't throw anyone out, and there's not a lot to like right now.

I've never known this team to be dominant in April. At best, they usually play .500 ball. Which stinks.

And I think MLB knows that, which is why the Orioles are being fed a steady diet of division rivals until the White Sox series next week.

I would have Flaherty at SS. He's much better defensively and he brings a better overall package. Losing Schoop while Hardy being out really has hurt this team.

It really has. Schoop was having a good start to the year. And his defense is stellar.

Seven freakin walks and we've got 2 runs. Not good!

The 2 runs on 7 walks is not good at all.

Short-term (this game), that really sucks.

But long-term, if our guys continue to be this patient, I think that it will pay dividends.

As much as I don't think Garcia did it intentionally, a suspension could be helpful for the bullpen.

Snider had been horrid, Cabrera has been meh and the lineup has to endure Flaherty and De Aza almost nightly. It won't be easy.

You means the Flaherty with a 1.086 OPs coming into this game. Maybe you should switch your wrath to Machado and Pearce. They've been the biggest busts so far in the young season offensively.
