Alvarez coming up per Roch.

You've said this before and it still doesn't make any sense. Players can and do improve. I'm not saying Urrutia is the answer in LF long term, but he's better than he was in 2013.

Yes he's better.

But a 26 year old can only get so much better and Henry had too far to go.

Heck maybe I have no idea what I am talking about and just get lucky a lot.

I have enjoyed watching Alvarez play at Norfolk on my milb.tv app and live once. He is better defensively than people give him credit for. Additionally he has good power. The majority of his homers are at Harbor Park, a notoriously known pitchers park.

I think he can help, I would have recalled him sooner personally.

Nelson Cruz had a career OPS of .666 through age 26, with a .385 SLG. In 478 PA, not 58.

He also walked occasionally and could pull a pitch.

He also had ...help.

But you are also right, obviously I know nothing and I just guess right a lot of the time.

...and...well...Cruz's minor league numbers:

.297/.369/.536 - .905 OPS

As a 23 year old in the minors: .326/.390/.562 - .952 OPS

As a 24 year old in the minors: .289/.385/.537 - .923 OPS

He was crushing in the minors.

Urrutia at AAA: .289/.330/.396 - .726 OPS

Just saying.

You know me, I don't bother to look at stuff like minor league performance before I declare a player a bust or not.

I just flip a coin.
