Tyler Wilson Hopes To Be Part Of Orioles' 2016 Plans

Not that Worley was amazing by any stretch last night, but I think he was certainly competitive and earned another start. I've got no idea why we'd put him back in the bullpen to start Wilson; while Wilson may still contribute to the big club this year, his last couple starts with Norfolk certainly haven't inspired a lot of confidence. Give Worley a chance.

Worley's problem is that when something doesn't go his way, he seems to go into the tank mentally and then either try to pitch too fine or throw something "on tilt" that gets raked.

That's now 9 straight innings of perfect baseball. No hits, walks, nada. Very impressive.

That Tyler Wilson guy had a good start in this one? remember him? He worked a perfect game, well, kind of. He was perfect through five innings and 57 pitches, but was pulled for Edgar Olmos to begin the sixth. T-Willy struck out six in his mini-perfecto, snatching the win for the Tides.

Olmos was also perfect through three; veteran Tom Gorzelanny allowed a hit in the ninth to break up the party.

Trey Mancini picked up three of Norfolk?s 11 hits. He hit one out of the park in the fifth, one of three Tides HRs on the night. Francisco Pena and Corban Joseph, too, joined the long-ball party.

With the win, Norfolk is now only 19 games under .500 ? progress!
