Anyone notice that Tony Pena's kid hit a HR as a backup catcher yesterday? Im sure he's not even on anyones radar, but he's a big kid and we need a little depth at catcher.One can dream.

He's on our 40 man roster. And he has been kept at the expense of left handed pitchers.

Wieters is in the starting lineup and playing catcher tonight. By playing in a major league spring training game today, the O's will not be able to backdate a trip to the DL. There's no way he'd be playing tonight if the O's had any intention of having him start on the DL.
