Trembley calls out "idiots"

Why do we all spend too much time on this message board? I think it has something to do with a love of the game and indeed a respect for it. If someone defiles something someone else respects and cares about, it is an act of vandalism IMO. Mindlless hooligans with brown shirts had a little fun engaging in a little vandalism on Krystal Nocht. They probably weren't that far removed from last evenings jolly pranksters. I'm afraid I just don't get the joke.

Yeah. It's pretty evident you don't. But thanks for pointing it out.

Now now, looking past the ridiculous number of eleventy-seven (you need to set your posts per page higher!) we've got nothing else better to do...and I seem to recall you starting the thread...instigator! :D

I will not post amusing but possibly slightly controversial Dave Trembley quotes on the Hangout during rain delays.

Wedge probably didn't even go to a school with an honor code, (chuckles heartily, then sips on a tall glass of scotch mixed with a touch of spring water).

(W+L grad)

I'll have you know that I went to an Ivy League school, sir.

(psst...Wedge...it's not Ivy League just because ivy grows on the grounds)

I'll have you know that I went to a League school, sir.

Sticking with the Trembley statement topic, player security is a HUGE issue. In that context, Trembley did the right thing for multiple reasons. First, to draw attention to the situation, and second to show that he cares for his players. IMHO, owners need to spend a little money on stadium camera systems. The police and security can't see everything, but the cameras can. Video evidence in court is excellent. Fans need to know that they cannot violate park rules and infringe on the players area. There are countless incidents of drunken fans putting competitors in harms way through sheer idiocy. Two of the most prominent incidents are the Stefi Graf stabbing and the two dirtbags who beat the baseball coach a couple years ago. We cannot assume someone's intentions are just to have fun. If we do, it is too late. Yes, this ruins it for those who are just having fun, but that is life. My thoughts are that if a fan intentionally enters an area designated for players only, he should be charged with breaking the law.

I'm with you, but you mean the Monica Seles stabbing. The only stabbing Stefi Graf gets is from Agassi...

Oh, I don't feel good about that joke.
