Every time we play the Jays I walk away feeling like they have so much better ABs than the Orioles and are such a better hitting team. It may not be reality but they seem to square it up really well against our piss poor pitching.

Well yeah, that is what I meant. Matt calls all those fastballs because of those things. And when he doesn't...we get that last inning.

His fastball can be effective but he so rarely controls it well enough to paint the corners like he needs to up here. Then he can effectively use the change up.

More often than not his fastball is RIGHT DOWN THE pipe and disaster strikes.

I'd be scared, too, with the way the O's have been hitting. Gausman essentially needs to be absolutely perfect otherwise he loses.

Tell you the truth? I think he needs to incorporate a cutter or use his 2 seamer more. He's been trying to develop a slider/curve going on 3 years now.
