Trumbo is hopeless.

Other than the occasional HR he has been useless since the all star break.

His BA and OBP have absolutely plummeted.

Yep. Everyone is so down on the team but we also just can't catch a break. Horrible. I wish I could blame the ump for Trumbos at bat . Maybe I can as there should have only been one out .

Ump took away a (eventually scoring) baserunner and effectively gave the Jays an extra out by not calling a ball four that was six inches outside. I'm assuming because our guy started toward first before the call and the ump took offense.

Baseball is incredibly frustrating at times, but let's take a look at which of these sources of frustration could be remedied by the commissioner:

1. Bad strike call changes outcome of AB

2. Hit a ball hard right at a defender

3. Having a terrible AB and swinging at two chest high fastballs

We just need to keep plugging away.

More importantly, Ubaldo needs to keep throwing strikes on the edges.

Even though he is pitching OK, I am still so hacked off at how much Ubaldo has damaged this season that I really don't care if he pitches well at this point or not. Too little, too late and it will be just enough to keep him pitching again next year and again losing.
