Trumbo has almost caught Danny Valencia for second highest OPS / OPS+ on the team behind Machado.  I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility he can be traded.  Orioles may have to wait until next season though.  Bottom line is they aren't winning while Trumbo is under contract and he can be an asset.

Trumbo is at .795 OPS hopefully we can find a taker and get a decent prospect back

Glad to see that he's hitting well.  I'd love to see us get one prospect back for him.

If I am the O's GM my goal over the next 8 months is somehow getting Trumbo and Davis off the roster.  We'll have to eat a lot of the salary to do it and that sucks but you probably can't put a price on the damage it would do to the roster and developing players to have them both here for another season, especially Davis.  

Anyway, Trumbo is kinda fun to watch hit when he's got his power stroke going.

After his weekend outburst, he’s hitting .262/.317/.459, which closely mirrors his career .250/.302/.461.

If he doesn't pass through waivers, then hopefully you can work out a trade to the team that puts in a flyer on him....or, if we are desperate enough, simply let that team have him and let them assume that contract.

Yes, but if a team claimed Trumbo then they would definitely get him. If the Orioles couldn't work out a deal with them in about ten minutes, then they would just stick the team with him. I'm sure DD would be dancing for joy if he's claimed.
