We are in 4th place now...

We were on top in April and early May. It sure was nice.

Now we are 1 game over .500 and in 4th place in our division.

It was a collapse of monumental proportions.

Worst team ERA in the American League. Good hitting shells our starters and our bullpen. Good pitching just shuts our bats down.

Anyone have anything good to say? There must be something positive...

I saved a lot of money on car insurance by switching to GEICO.

Well that's good news. xD

In other good news, we are not last place in our division. We have a one game lead over Toronto.

Schedule gets easier.   O's found a left fielder in Mancini.  Bundy still looks good.  Manny probably stays off the DL.  Miley still performing better than his career avg.   Castillo is back and should hit better than Joesph.  Smith has  been a pleasant surprise to me.  I want to see more of Tejada.  He may beat out Flaherty and even see quite a bit on time at SS. Asher so far belongs on the team.  Maybe as a reliever instead on the starter.  Ubaldo is gone after this season while frees up salary. Schoop has a 853 OPS and a 332 OBP which in high for him.  Britton is getting closer to returning. Brach has a  0.89 WHIP and batters are only hitting .163 off him. Bleier has been good out of the pen  with a 1.93 ERA. Givens in 6-0 with a 2.61 ERA and he is striking out more than a batter per inning.  Mullins and Long both look like  they belong in an O's uniform some time in the near future.

As bad as things have been, they're still a game over .500.  I doubt we'll be a playoff team this year, but they're not far away from being a really good team if the right moves are made.  And no matter what, we're infinitely better off than we were from 1998 through 2011.  There is still plenty of talent on this team.

One of the top 4 home records in baseball?

Still a good record vs the AL East.

Still just a half game out of a wild card spot.

Gausman doesn't appear to have any physically wrong, so he is a good candidate for "positive regression".

Mancini is fun to watch.

Schoop is fun to watch.

That's all I got right now.   But I'll be watching tonight.

Dan won't sell one or more of our top prospects for a marginal upgrade if the O's are under .500 at the trading deadline.
