Very cool to see Caleb giving Howie Clark some credit. Guys like him and Rick Short had to fight to make a team each year while putting up minor league numbers that showed they knew what they were doing with limited talent. It figures that they'll eventually be hitting coaches. (Short's a scout for Arizona.)

Honestly, I feel more comfortable with Castillo in there because offense, but I love Caleb as a backup. Glad to see he's doing better than Weiters this season - statistically.

  Sorry. I can’t talk right now. I’m at SportsGuys barbecue and he has no idea that I’m RZNJ. Food is good. Beer is cold. Pool is refreshing. I just have to make believe I like him for the rest of the day. On second thought, as soon as I’m full I’m out.

  Scoring runs by HR is better than a team that doesn't hit HR but has to manufacture them. I remember reading a study on it. There are going to be instances in the playoffs just like the regular season where there won't be any HR in a game and team needs to manufacture a run or two.

  He’s hitting like .320 with a 45% hard-hit rate since he came back from his injury, so I guess that won’t take too long if he keeps it up.
