Don't get me wrong, I love Nick. He's my favorite player and he does a lot of things really, really well...he's a 5 tool player, IMO.

But the striking out looking this year is getting on my last f'ing nerve. Seriously, it's getting a bit ridiculous. I understand that he wants to be patient this year and work on his walks, but when its two strikes, you gotta protect and swing at anything thats close, even if just to try to foul it off.

That last pitch might or might not have been a strike, but you gotta swing....

What was better in that situation:

A) Stirke-out looking

B) Swings at a pitch he isn't looking for outside his hitting zone, and grounds into an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play.

The K's aren't that big of a deal. Nick knows what he is doing.

Worst case scenario, yes, a DP. But a DP can kill an inning anytime. My beef isn't the strikeout, it's that he didn't get the bat off his shoulder and has done that a lot this year.
