Tried getting the opinion of some national writers on the comp between  2016 Mountcastle and 2018 Encarnacion at class A.  However, I'm not sure if they compared current Mountcastle to current Encarnacion. They described Mountcastle as more polished which I could see as applicable to either comp, but another stated that Mountcastle is way ahead which I think was referring about present Mountcastle(duh he is at AA while Encarnacion is in low A). Regardless, Encarnacion is a much better defender with an arm "3-4 grades better than Mountcastle" and he will stick at third. Has huge upside. Big time breakout candidate for 2019.

He's an 18 year old who likely doesn't speak much English, playing in Montana. He's comparable to Osiris Johnson (53rd overall pick in the 2018 draft) with a better glove.

Oops, Villar is just a MLB roster fill-in with some upside, is pretty solid defensively at 2B. A rebuilding team needs guys like that and he had a good season in 2016, it's possibly he is a solid contributor for the next two years.

Not to say he's gonna be a bust, I just don't see anything in his swing that jumps out to me.  It looks to be a little loopy.

Then we are obviously not done. If we can move Valencia , Trumbo, and Beckham after the deadline. Then hopefully move Bundy , Joseph, and Cashner in the offseason and Cobb hopefully at next years deadline pitching well.

It's long, needs some work on the load portion, raw bat speed is there and looks like he gets good natural loft. He's quite raw but the tools are there, risk/reward guy.
