Bundy has been atrocious, is his future as a closer?

What say you? Have heard this before but curious if it is too soon to give up on him as a SP?

If they can't fix him, I think he needs to be a reliever. I don't know about closer. But by the end of this season he could be in the bullpen just to see what that looks like.

Then again, good relievers don't give up a million home runs.

Closer for which team?   Bundy's $4.83M salary may be too rich for this club to close.  The good news for Bundy is he wouldn't get many opportunities which would save his arm.

I don't understand the logic and thought process in moving someone from the rotation to the bullpen (or vice versa) is a cure for what ails.  

It's not going to make Bundy's fastball better.  It's not going to make him able to keep his fastball out of the middle of the plate.  I mean, it might but I don't think so.

A flat 90-91 mph fastball just doesn't play when your other pitches are erratic. He doesn't have pinpoint control. He can't locate. This is the same Bundy that got destroyed 2nd half of last year. He's cooked.

Well, it does work often.  Most elite relievers are failed starters becasue their stuff plays up in shorter stints in the bullpen.  But I don't think that's going to help Bundy.

He will not be going 5 plus.

Britton had a workable pitch.

On a good team he is a middle reliever/spot starter. 

This is also the worst place for him to pitch. Maybe he could start in SD/SF.
