How About Dem Coaches?

I don't have any informed opinions about the coaches yet. Obviously skeptical about the pitching coach, but recognize that could be an impossible job at this point.

I do like that Hyde's starting Stewart and Wilkerson tonight and not Smith. This could be a one time meaningless thing, but I hope he's sending a message (publicly or privately) about bone-headed plays. We need to hit cutoff men and run bases well. I know errors happen, but mental errors should not be allowed to snowball. That is when I will start to really question the manager and staff.

It’s early and to soon to decide but based off what I’ve seen so far from the pitching I could see Brocail being replaced. It’s not like he has s great resume anyway and I think they can do better and would have if it wasn’t so late in the offseason. Here’s hoping he changes my mind.

While maybe our team would be better without baserunning blunders, on the whole, per Fangraphs we are middle of the pack/slightly above average when it comes to baserunning runs, at +1.6.
