His loss...I mean, I don't know of any other starting rotations with a better chance for a guy like that to make a comeback.

I'm not complaining though, I'd rather see one of our prospects get a shot in the rotation before him.

Certainly possible that the Orioles told him that they weren't interested after seeing his spring training output and allowed him to opt out first to save himself the ignominy of being cut by the Orioles.

Makes more sense to me than opting out on his own, although I guess he could end up at some other team's alternate site and show off his 84 MPH cannon.
