Gametime:   10:10 pm

Weather:  60 degrees, no precip

Matchup:   Jorge Lopez (R) vs Justin Dunn (R).   Lopez has been on of the best pitchers in MLB the first time through the order.   After that, things get bad quickly.  Dunn was a first round draft pick of the Mets out of Boston College in 2016, who went to the Mariners in the deal for Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz.   He has a 4.09 ML ERA in 72 innings.

Around MLB:

Jacob deGrom was scratched from tonight's start for the Mets because of tightness in his side.   Starting in his place will be former Oriole Miguel Castro.

The Giants got 10 runs in the top of the first of game 1 of a doubleheader against Colorado at Coors Field.

Clayton Kershaw lasted just 1 inning vs the Cubs today, giving up 4 runs.  It was the shortest outing of his career.   His previous shortest, 1.1 innings, was on May 4, 2010, so Kershaw does not do very well on Star Wars Day.

Christian Yelich came off the IL after almost 3 weeks last night, and went 2 for 4 vs the Phillies.    He went back on the IL today with a sore back, the same thing that put him on the IL previously.

What did Norfolk do tonight? Did Bowie start too?

Norfolk is losing 11-5 in the 9th.  Connor Greene got pounded, as did Clay Carroll.

Nevin and Mejias-Brean each had 2 hits including a HR.  Jahmai Jones made an error.
