I don't buy it. I think cooler heads will prevail tomorrow and the big market owners will throw their weight around to prevent games from being missed. Curious to know how united the owners are behind this.

Love your optimism, but I disagree and feel it’s ill-founded here.

Why do you think this?

Meanwhile I don't think spring training is starting until June or MLBPA caves, which...after COVID season, I don't see happening. MLB isn't feeling any effects. They are getting revenue from other sources. Their regional sports networks can air other programming. When that stops, I think those networks will put lots of pressure on MLB to make a deal. Until then, Manfred and a bunch of outdated owners are just going to continue acting like its 1994.

I think the fanbases of the leaked teams need to make it abundantly clear how unhappy they are that "their" teams are standing in the way of a full season.

The numbers just aren't that far apart, everyone makes money either way and everyone will lose even more money with missed games. I think these deadlines are a negotiation strategy and it would be a mistake to kill the golden goose.

You mean this guy with 5,000 Twitter followers who’s flipping people off in his profile picture? That’s the guy whose word we’re taking?

I don’t think only 8 teams are the hold up

Yeah, I need to see some evidence or corroboration before I believe this guy. Owners are a problem, but there's no reason to take this guy at his word.
