One thing we have going for us is not only was Baltimore his favorite team as a kid. It was probally the favorite team of all his friends. You dont think he relishes the idea of hanging in the club house with all his highschool buddies saying "Can you belive it? I'm here!!"

Guys, I realize there is a thread for this so maybe it will be combined but The Fan 105.7 is reporting that the O's have offered Tex a 9 year 20 mil per contract. Apparently the Nats have countered that offer with a 10 year 20 mil per offer and the Angels are saying they can't afford that type of offer.

If we lose Tex to the Nats I am going to puke!!!!!

He can afford 9 years at 20 million per, but 10 is too much!? If you're going to go that far, why not a little further? For the record I think both of those offers are for too much money and too long of a time.

This is crazy, can you imagine playing for your favorite team and getting 20 million dollars a year to do it.

The first part was my life from the age of about 3 til about 13...the 20MM a year, though, not so much.

Why have Tex for 9/180 why Dunn could probably be had for 4/60? Tex's OPS is 134 and Dunn's is 130... anyone else think this deal would be overpaying just a tad?
