I think Rhodes has a chance to be the most under rated prospect among OH posters.

He was my dark horse candidate to make the big league team and contribute from draft day.  I didn't really have a reason why,  i just liked what i saw of him with the limited available video.  I'm sticking to that prediction.

He has to overtake Darell  Hernaiz first

Don’t you think there are a lot of people talking about Hernaiz? I’m not rating Rhodes higher, I just think he’s more under the radar.

Took a long time for even Tony to move him from the 20’s to his current spot (#11?).   He doesn’t get mentioned in the same ways Westburg and Norby do, IMO.   Yet, he’s performed all year and likely starts in Bowie at 21 next year.   He may not be a SS but he’s got power and speed and doesn’t strike out a bunch.

Oh, he’s had a great year playing in a pitching environment. That’s for sure. I really like him.

Rhodes and Trimble were very young for their draft class.   Whereas Cowser was 22 all of last year, Rhodes and Trimble will be 22 most of this year.  Trimble turns 22 in July and Rhodes in August.     Whereas Cowser was starting in Aberdeen, it looks like Rhodes, who put up an 800+ OPS in Aberdeen last year, will start at Bowie this year.    Consider that.    I think both have been held back by injuries.  Trimble, we know, had labrum surgery and missed significant time and probably wasn't 100% when he did come back last year.   He'll have a full offseason to get ready this year.   Rhodes only played in 83 total games last year.   We never really got any details on his injuries.   We do know that he started off hot start with 72 PA and a 1.020 OPS in April.  But he only had 48 PA in May and only 38 in June.   It would be nice to know what type of injuries he had and if they played a part in holding him back the rest of the year.   He did have his most PA's in the month of July with 90 at Aberdeen (.709) OPS but then was back down to 65 in August.

Different outlets have described him with good bat speed and being athletic (he was perfect in 16 stolen base attempts).   Rhodes is one guy who seems like a good bounce back candidate (even though he's bouncing back from a pretty decent season).
