There's an interesting article on the BaseballProspectus website about why the Nats never saw this version of Voth.  I'll try to quote some of it in his thread later. 

TLDR:  Different caliber of player development plus willingness to learn.

Rasmussen is the one who had a perfect game in 9th.  Rays beat us 4-1.
