Wagner now has a higher OPS (.786) than either Fabian (.772) or Beavers (.749).

We’re just so good at drafting offense. It’s crazy. This is working. It’s assembly line type stuff.

I bet Nolan McClean is kicking himself. Who knows what our developmental team could’ve unlocked?

I wonder what his numbers are if you take out that awful stretch in April?

April 18 77 65 8 10 1 1 1 5 4 2 8 21 .154 .260 .246 .506
May 15 67 50 19 16 2 1 4 7 6 1 14 16 .320 .493 .640 1.133

Thats about as narrow as I can find it on bbref.. 786 OPS at present. Pretty amazing turnaround. I had actually kind of written him off after his terrible start just because of the infield depth this team has in the minors. Looks premature.

I know trade talk seemingly takes over most threads because we have a glut of prospects, but it’s Beavers/Wagner/Fabian that can be real difference makers for this org. They can either be trade chips themselves or replace guys that we do trade. Especially considering we won’t be picking so high now.

You can sum up game logs automatically on BB-ref.  Take out his initial 0 for 20 and he’s at .274/.431/.505.

If Nolan signed, we wouldn’t have wasted money on Carter Young who looks like a non prospect.

If Nolan McLean had signed, he’d be pitching not hitting.

Last 25 games, he’s sitting at .291 / .455 / .570 / 1.025. He’s got 6 HRs and 25 Ks vs. 21 BBs, and add in 11 steals for good measure. All of a sudden, hitting in Aberdeen doesn’t seem quite as impossible with some of these kids we’ve got there at the moment.
