Mateo is a hole in the lineup and the defense hasn’t been as special as last year.  Honestly, Gunnar has looked better at short.  Mateo hasn’t been bad, just not as spectacular as last year.

Mateo probably should not be playing full time now.  I am thinking defensive replacement and pinch runner now.  I think he has proved he isnt a MLB starting player now.

I would not be unhappy if he goes to bench or other.  He is never going to hit

Does Mateo not have any options?  I don't understand how the O's can send Stowers, Vavra, and others down when they aren't hitting but continue to play Mateo while he is struggling.

At SOME point Elias finally has to make a move on Mateo, right?  I mean he's completely lost, and has been for almost 2 months now.  At some point he's GOT to start riding the pine, no?  Geez.

Do we really have to keep playing Mateo everyday just because he doesn't have any options and they don't want to lose him? Considering our other options, I'd be perfectly fine with getting rid of Mateo, trade him for a bag of balls.

I look at it as a positive when Mateo strikes out now. Every strikeout is bringing us closer to Westburg.

If the Orioles had a left-handed hitting SS in the system, it would make some sense to bring them up.  They don’t though.
