We have to beat our nemesis Berrios tonight to stay 2 games ahead of Tampa.  Tampa plays the Yankees this weekend.  5-3 Rays in 8th.

I am expecting the Yankees to win this series. Even down like they are, they own Tampa Bay. It will be the Orioles turn to fatten up on inferior competition.

I wouldn’t count on that.  The Yankees are in free fall.  Their manager is a dead man walking.

Most likely going to come down to the TB series in a few weeks. Win 3/4 and we gain 3 games on them regardless of the tiebreak. Was hoping we would be 5 or 6 up going into that series but the Rays have really turned it on recently. Not much we can do about that. Just have to keep playing good ball and winning series.

I think if we win 3 of 4, we only gain 2 games.

Red Sox win series in Houston to inch within 3.5 of Astros, and get a quick Fenway rematch with the champs early next week.

Mookie's Dodgers into Boston first though, and that could be some losses.

Monday we make up one of the two games we lag behind Tampa completing 162, so the games separated will go to something and a half in a few days.

Guardians got the road series win in Minnesota to put it at a 5 game margin, and keep their rematch in Cleveland next week a bit more likely to be relevant.

CLE is a sub .500 team still in a race, so they would be one of the first teams with dibs who could have use for Angels/Yankees waiver guys.     CLE also hosts Tampa this weekend so them having some extra help couldn't hurt.

If CLE ownership can afford a 1-month, 1-2 million dollar contract, etc.

Guardians now up 6-4 vs. Twins in the Central race, so 83-79 type ties will go to them as they won't be in the race anymore if they get swept at home.

NL Central - Cubs nation and @Tryptaminebreathing a sigh of relief as Milwaukee took Wrigley opener to push its winning streak to 9 and threaten a knockout, but couldn't do it dropping the last two as Adbert Alzolay strong in two nailbiters yesterday and today.

CHC closes to 3 GB, and evens its season series with MIL 5-5.    The two Clubs final series is games 160-162, so Cubs will stay barely alive just playing even with Brewers next four weeks.

NL Central teams also have relatively low MLB-wide winning percentages for waiver priority heading to tomorrow.
