Doesn’t sound great for Hicks.  MASN broadcast said that he could not put weight on his ankle.  Hopefully he’s not out too long given that he’s been an on base machine since coming off the IL (something like .485).  With that said, it should open up some more playing time for Kjerstad which could be interesting.

Hyde just said Hicks had a cramp, so maybe not anything that will keep him out of the lineup.

The one issue I do see is if Hicks can't play tomorrow and Mountcastle is still out then Mouncastle might need to go on the IL (assuming Hicks really has only a cramp).

Maybe the O's take their chances, but that's a really thin bench and Hyde has been playing match ups a lot like tonight.

Well if they are going to bring up someone I would rather see Cowser come up instead of McKenna.  Let another rookie that hits lefthanded  be part of this magic.

A player who is timid in CF and hit .115 / .286 / .148 / .433 earlier in the season is the type that can dispel the magic pretty quickly. Already taking a lot of chances with our shaky bullpen--Cowser could make it impossible to come back, letting short flies drop in and taking forever to throw home.

(McKenna: far superior fielder hitting .254 / .316 / .361 / .677.)
