Lucas Giolito on waivers?

Doesn’t LAA have to work out a trade with whoever places a claim?  I would be more interested in Moore or Lopez.

No, trades can't occur anymore.  They're just dumping salary.

No. No trades are allowed after August 1. This allows Angels to save money and a contender to add a player who is eligible for playoffs.

Yankees waived Josh Donaldson, too.  I bring this up not because I want Donaldson on the O's,  but to laugh at him and the Yankees for not being good this year.

Schedule wise I did notice MLB almost entirely cleared the decks Thursday 8/31.

Our best Norfolk guys have kind of petered out this month for making that part of it especially interesting.

I am still working through internalizing that in a year Heston Kjerstad broadly showed he still may be who Elias thought he was, the reality is we are going to give 1/9th of tournament PA to Ryan O'Hearn.      Cowser flubbed his audition.

Giolito has been atrocious for the LAA which is odd. Dude had a 117 ERA+ with CWS and 66 with the LAA in 6 pretty awful starts.
