I think Frobby did research on this showing the contracts after 26/27 years old do not normally work out. Good for the dodgers who I guess are printing money. I feel like right fielder and occasional 2 inning bullpen arm was the best future arm for him.

Oh for sure.  The main Dodger fan base here in S Cal has always been Hispanic. Very few Asians.  But the Hispanics  are super loyal and fervent Dodger fans.  That being said, based on demographics and earning power, Hispanics as a whole rate quite a bit lower compared to whites and Asians.  So drawing in the Asian demo from a TV, fan, merch, advertising perspective is going to be massive.

It's a shocking number 700M. I remember when Messi got 4/674M when he signed with Barcelona and Ronaldo got 518M for 2'ish years. Soccer has some crazy AAV salaries lol.

It is crazy.  LA is just in a different world when it comes to spending money.  Both the people who live here and the Dodgers.

Orioles can kiss any hopes of extensions goodbye.  There is no telling where salaries are going and guys with Boras as their agent are unlikely to accept any extension that looks anything short of crazy.
