2024 Attendance Expectation

Hi everyone,

With last year’s excitement and the momentum that has created with Birdland Membership sales, the new owner, and yesterday’s trade, what are we expecting attendance wise this year? We should average at least 30k for the season. Where I live in MoCo, there are a lot more Orioles hats this time of year than I’ve seen in a while.

Really depends on if the Splash Zone returns

In the last three seasons they have gone from 10k to 17k to 24k. I guess a linear regression would bring you to 30k but I would predict/be happy with closer to 27k.

Last year in the beginning of the year I said I hoped they would draw 2 million if competitive all season.  I was told that was probably way too ambitious.

Well they made it to 1.9 but of course they were more than competitive.

As stated above, a linear progression would put them at about 2.5 million this year.  That's probably a little too ambitious but I'd like to see 2.4.

It would have been interesting to be a fly on the wall today in the warehouse listing to the phones ring off the hook.  I am sure they sold a few more season ticket packages than a normal Friday.

It will be better than last year I imagine, but I beg everyone to not panic when it's not sold out on a school night in early April.

I could write a dissertation on this, bur instead I’ll just say that I expect attendance to fall somewhere between 2.2 mm on the low end and 2.5 mm on the high end.
