2024 Norfolk Tides

If Sigbot leans into gaining 2030 control over all the notable players, could Basallo and Beavers midseason promotion make Norfolk, creating a momentary AAA lineup possibility of I guess:

C Basallo, 1B Kjerstad, 2B Norby, SS Holliday, 3B Mayo, LF Cowser, CF Beavers, RF Stowers, DH Haskin

How ridiculous would that be?   But hopefully we never see that.

I would be pretty shocked if both Cowser and Kjerstad start the season in the minors.

Even if they did, its even more doubtful they'd still be there mid-season as the OP posits.

That would be an all-time AAA lineup though, no doubt about that.

Best lineup in the AL Central

Norfolk Tides record:

With Jackson Holliday 25-11

Without Jackson Holliday 3-12

Holliday hasn’t been lights out since his return to Norfolk, but the team is 18-8 since then, and went 7-3 before his call-up.  Go figure.

What the heck happened to Justin Armbreuster? Yikes.

Great question.  He seems to be trying to pile up strikeouts at the expense of actually being effective.  His K/9 is way up but so are H/9 and BB/9.

Murderer’s Row making a comeback.  The lowest OPS of the first 6 hitters is .859.  Three are over .900.    They scored 14 tonight.  Got that early April feeling again and that’s without Holliday.

Well, the big league team is actually much further above average offensively than the Tides.

Orioles: 5.19 runs/game, league average 4.35; .766 OPS, league average .704.

Tides: 5.84 runs/game, league average 5.21; .808 OPS, league average .771.

The stats in the IL are highly inflated.

Can you please not mix minor league and Oriole news  and post Orioles stats on the other board?  🙂
